Adult Autism Remote Evaluations
Compassionate, Neurodiversity-Affirming Online Adult Autism Evaluations
Have you spent years wondering why certain parts of life feel harder than they seem to be for other people? The goal of this evaluation is simple: to make life less overwhelming.

This comprehensive adult autism evaluation is designed for adults seeking a formal autism diagnosis and clear direction. Adults who pursue an autism evaluation often describe a long history of trying to adapt. Some have pushed themselves to keep up. Others have struggled more visibly. Many have carried confusion, shame, or self-doubt about why things have not felt easier.

If you are considering a formal autism diagnosis as an adult, you likely want clarity. Not just a label, but an explanation that actually fits your lived experience. I am a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in adult autism assessment. I am also neurodivergent myself. When you tell me something has always felt harder than it “should,” I take that seriously. I believe you.

This is a neurodiversity-affirming evaluation, which means autism is understood as a difference in neurodevelopment, not a flaw to be corrected. We work to understand your sensitivities and patterns, identify what drains you, and find practical ways to modify your environment so it better meets your needs. We talk about how to ask for what you need and build a life that feels more sustainable.

This is a thorough clinical evaluation, not a brief screening or online quiz. The process is structured and predictable. You will know what to expect at each step, and you will have space to reflect, ask questions, and process without feeling rushed.

What about ADHD?
Autism and ADHD frequently overlap in adults seeking an autism evaluation. I assess both when clinically appropriate because I want you to leave with a clear, accurate understanding of the whole picture. There is no surprise pricing for doing this thoroughly.

Why Pick Me as the Psychologist for Your Evaluation?
Clients have told me they only felt comfortable being fully honest in this process because I disclose that I am neurodivergent. I take a kind and empathetic approach. I understand the extent of masking and how deeply sensory sensitivities can affect someone, because I also shudder to my core with certain sounds.

With me, you do not have to perform or downplay your needs or internal experiences. In fact, that is the point. I want to hear about those. This evaluation is clinical and informed while still being conversational.

This process was designed by a neurodivergent psychologist with one goal in mind: reduce overwhelm.
You will know what to expect, what it costs, and what comes next. Scheduling is clear, pricing is transparent, and information is provided in manageable pieces rather than all at once. I understand how overwhelm and task initiation challenges show up in real life.

Choosing to pursue an evaluation is a meaningful step. It takes time, reflection, and honesty. I do not take that lightly, and I appreciate your bravery in being willing to look closely at what has been hard.

I bring more than lived experience. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD. I have conducted hundreds of adult evaluations.
At the same time, I do not approach this as someone who has all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. This is a collaborative and therapeutic process.

Why invest in an evaluation?
This evaluation is a financial investment. It is also a meaningful one.

This is not a brief screening or a surface-level review. It is a thorough, individualized process with a licensed psychologist who specializes in high-masking adults. We take the time to look carefully at your history, your coping patterns, and the emotional cost of functioning. We also look at the full mental health picture. Previous diagnoses, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and executive functioning are not treated as separate labels. We connect the dots so you understand how everything fits together.

Many adults spend years second-guessing themselves, cycling through therapy without clear direction, or trying to push through burnout without understanding why it keeps happening. A comprehensive autism evaluation provides clarity that can shape decisions about work, relationships, accommodations, and mental health for years to come.

You receive a detailed written report and a personalized Therapeutic Roadmap. The Roadmap outlines your strengths, patterns, and practical next steps, including what to focus on in therapy, workplace or school supports to consider, and tailored resources selected specifically for you.

For some adults, self-identification has already been an important step. A formal clinical diagnosis can add confidence in pursuing appropriate support services and a shared language with medical or mental health providers. It opens practical doors such as workplace or school accommodations. Importantly for many adults, an evaluation becomes a turning point which replaces self-blame with understanding and gives structure for what comes next.

Your Privacy Comes First
I understand that privacy concerns can feel heightened in today’s political climate. Because I operate as a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance, your diagnostic information is not submitted to insurance companies.

If you choose to use insurance, a diagnosis must be submitted for reimbursement. That diagnosis becomes part of the insurer’s record and may be included in your broader healthcare file. Insurance companies are also required to share certain claims data with government agencies for regulatory and reporting purposes.

For my evaluations, nothing is shared without your written authorization, except in legally defined safety situations. I am bound by the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association, which require psychologists to uphold principles of justice, human rights, fairness, and respect for dignity.
How You Can Pay
I accept credit cards through my secure portal. Most HSA cards which can be run as a credit card also work.
CareCredit can be a good finance option. Many clients choose CareCredit’s 6-month deferred interest option, which allows you to make monthly payments with no interest if the balance is paid in full within six months. This can make the investment more manageable. Please visit my CareCredit portal to see if you pre-qualify and estimate payments.

I can also offer a payment plan in which we can divide the fee into three payments spread over a few months. See my Finances page for an example payment plan. We would work out the specific dates for you and have you sign an agreement to have your card automatically charged on the selected dates. I also offer limited reduced fee spots to clients in need. Please let me know in your first email if you might be interested in either of these options and I’ll do my best to work with you.

If you want to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

Why I Do Not Take Insurance for Autism Evaluations

Importantly, operating as a private-pay practice allows me to limit how your diagnostic information is shared. When insurance is used, required diagnostic and billing information is submitted to the insurer and becomes part of their records, which may be included in broader healthcare data systems.

In my experience, insurance requirements can limit the depth and pacing of an evaluation. Working outside of insurance allows me to provide a more thorough and individualized process.

By remaining out-of-network:

-
Our sessions are not structured around insurance time-based billing
-
You have space to think, reflect, and process
-
Appointment times are more flexible, and we can reschedule or split sessions when needed
-
The evaluation is guided by clinical judgment rather than reimbursement rules
-
No diagnostic information is submitted to insurance

Insurance coverage for evaluations can sometimes be complex, and final out-of-pocket costs may not be clear until claims are processed. My fee is transparent from the beginning. To help offset the cost of private pay, I offer payment plans and a limited number of reduced-fee spots for neurodivergent individuals in need.
